| With great sadness I learned that George Robb of the Prytulak Crew 907 passed away on 29 December 2008, just one day short of his 85th birthday. I never met him in person but I did talk to him a few times on the phone. He was a wonderful man and certainly one of my heroes. |
| The Prytulak Crew was credited with 31 combat missions, but I believe George said he had flown 33, picking up the extra two as a substitute on other crews. Having finished his combat tour early he could had easily sat the last two out, but out of loyalty to his crew... I think that shows what kind of guy he was. |
| The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2009. However, the burial service will be on Tuesday, January 6th at the West Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery in Memphis at 11 AM. George is survived by his wife Muriel, three sisters, five sons, eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. |
| George's family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to his favorite charity, the Arnett Institute. I feel ever so humble and honored to accept the contributions on his behalf. You can send a check along with your card to his wife or mail it seperately to us. |
