Although we know more about the 479th Sub Depot than any other attached unit, it is still a mystery to us. We can't say for sure exactly what their primary responsibilites were, but the photos below indicate that their duties included aircraft repair and parachute packing.

The unit had well over a hundred men assigned to it, overseen by just a handful of officers. However, more research is needed.

It is our assumption that Major Leroy E Everett was in command since he was the highest rankning officer in the 479th that we know of.
